demonstrating exceptional commitment to ethical conduct, transparency, and the fight against corruption.
High tolerance of corruption has contributed to low levels of integrity in the public service. This scheme is a crucial step in promoting integrity by recognizing and honoring those who lead by example.

The National Integrity Awards Scheme is unique in its approach. While we celebrate men and women of integrity, we also name and shame those considered perverse and of the lowest levels of integrity.
Bestowed upon candidates who obtain a minimum of 85 marks based on the defined evaluation criteria, recognizing exceptional ethical conduct.
A candidate who receives less than 20 marks will be eligible for the Vulture Award, highlighting severe non-adherence to ethical principles.

Nominations are assessed based on merit using eight (8) defined criteria. A transparent and independent selection process is managed by the National Integrity Awards Committee.
